I am the singer and guitarist in London-based black feminist punk band Big Joanie. I also play in my solo outfit Stef Fi. I have been involved in the London punk scene for over a decade.

Back Home LP
Big Joanie
Kill Rock Stars / Daydream Library Series, 2022

Big Joanie are back with their sophomore record Back Home. Recorded at Hermitage Works Studios in North London, the album was produced and mixed by Margo Broom (Goat Girl, Fat White Family) and features violin courtesy of Charlotte Valentine of the experimental art rock project No Home, who recently collaborated with the LA-based artist SASAMI. Back Home is a dramatic leap forward for Big Joanie. The band build on their tightly knit, lo-fi punk formula to bring forth a collage of blazing guitars, down tempo dance punk, and melancholic strings that evoke the full depth of the band’s expansive art punk vision.

Sistahs LP
Big Joanie
Daydream Library Series, 2018

Big Joanie’s debut album Sistahs was released on Thurston Moore and Eva Prinz’s label Daydream Library Series on the 30th November 2018 to wide critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The Guardian, The Quietus, The Nation and more, along with copious airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and KEXP-FM.

Sistah Punk Records, April 2020

Stef Fi is my solo outfit. My debut EP Girlhood was released in April 2020 on my label Sistah Punk Records. This EP was a long time in the making. I wrote these songs years ago and recorded them nearly two years ago but never had a chance to release them.
